The subject sits under the campaign title and the audience beside the status chip, so the compose step is the email body alone, filling the middle of the page, with the merge tokens in a column on the right. Nothing saves on its own, so the page now marks edits the server has not seen and asks before leaving would discard them; TemplateInlineEditor reports the member's own body edits apart from Quill's load-time normalization so that mark is not raised by merely opening a campaign.
