A plain @Autowired List of an interface with no implementations does NOT resolve to an empty list — it throws UnsatisfiedDependencyException. Measured, not reasoned. Only required=false with an empty default is safe, so the reason the draft gave for preferring a list was not real. Also: private final cannot be field-injected here; the commitment does not exist at the guard the placement named; the cited SERVICE_AGREEMENT range was findServiceQuoteById; and the sketched test was near-tautological and would have missed the in-loop mutation this task calls the crux.
