imgs.modified_kind + imgs.original_img_id. Null kind means the row IS an original — the bytes a member uploaded — which is the correct reading for every row that predates this and is why neither column needs a backfill. A derived row resolves its bytes through an ImgDat rather than through original_img_id, so the reference is nullable and uncascaded on purpose: trashing an original removes its metadata, not its content, and its versions go on working.
